About CariDoa

CariDoa helps Muslims in Malaysia find du'a with clear sources, pray for one another, and pass on du'a to pilgrims travelling to the Holy Land.

Our mission

CariDoa began with a question many of us ask: which du’a fits this moment, and where does it come from? On social media, du’a are often shared without a reference, sometimes with promises of virtue that have no source. We wanted a calm place where every du’a can be traced to the Quran or hadith, and its meaning is easy to understand.

We also saw how du’a entrusted to umrah and hajj pilgrims get lost in piles of WhatsApp messages, and how many people would love to be prayed for but feel shy to ask. So CariDoa brings three things together: finding sourced du’a, praying for one another as Muslims, and passing every entrusted du’a to the pilgrim as a trust (amanah).

Our mission is simple: to make it easier for Muslims in Malaysia to make du’a with knowledge, to pray for one another with adab, and to fulfil every entrusted du’a as a trust, with no ads and no payment.

CariDoa is part of the Cari* family.

Why every du'a is sourced

Du'a is how we speak to Allah. When we use du'a from the Quran and the Sunnah, we should know where it comes from.

Our principles of adab

These principles shape every design decision in CariDoa.

  1. Acceptance belongs to Allah

We promise no outcome. Du'a is left to Allah, and we never claim that any du'a will surely be accepted.

  2. No du'a is sold

No paid du'a, packages or donations tied to du'a, in line with the Federal Territories Mufti's ruling on "Valet Doa".

  3. Guarding others' privacy

Requests are anonymous by default. Personal details are removed, and exposing other people's faults or family conflicts is not allowed.

  4. Away from showing off

No public ameen counter. Only you see how many people have prayed for you.

  5. Only good du'a

Curses, wishing harm on others, magic, gambling and unlawful aims are blocked by moderation.

  6. Honouring the Quran

Quran text is copied without change, never written in Latin script, and shown only when the legal requirements are met.

  7. Not a fatwa body

We pass on sources, not rulings. For questions of Islamic law, ask your state Mufti department.

  8. No AI writes religious text

The Arabic comes from named sources, and translations are reviewed by accredited scholars.

What we do not do

  • No AI du'a generator
  • No paid du'a, packages or "boosts"
  • No public ameen counter and no follower lists
  • No ads, trackers or selling of data
  • No private messages between users
